Meet Kendall!

 

Meet 10 year-old Kendall. She suffers from neuromuscular scoliosis. The sweet girl is unable to verbally communicate. She is also visually impaired. The loss of these abilities and eyesight deprive her of many simple enjoyments, but Kendall compensates by fully using her other senses.

Kendall listens to music with strong percussions. She not only hears the music, but feels the rhythm and beats. Kendall’s favorite food of all-time is spicy chicken enchilada soup. Most of all Kendall loves the Disney movies The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. The main characters have their own unique challenges, but Kendall’s story is a real-life example of unyielding triumph over ongoing adversity.

Kendall needs a manual wheelchair that tilts. She has outgrown her old one and is no longer being properly supported.  Due to Kendall’s scoliotic posture and hypotonia she will need a very specialized wheelchair.
